Understanding your changing body when you enter puberty: what’s really happening?
I thought I would write this post to tell you a bit more about the 'Cycle Wisdom' workshop. If you are parents of pre-teens (from 9 years old) or teens, you may have had the conversation already but if you have not yet, we have you covered! Here are a few questions your child or yourself may be asking. The workshop will cover these topics in a practical and pragmatic way.
Have you ever wondered what’s actually happening to the body during puberty? Like, one minute you’re still a kid, and the next thing you know, your body’s like, "Surprise! Here's some new curves, mood swings, and a mysterious growth spurt!" What’s the deal with all that?!
Have you ever wondered what is in period blood? I mean, is it just blood, or is it like a mystery golden mix?
Have you ever wondered how long your period is actually supposed to last? Is 3 days okay, or is it supposed to be a full-on 7-day saga, like a Netflix show you can’t stop watching (even if you want to)?
Have you ever wondered what’s normal when it comes to your period? Like, is it okay if it’s super light one day and heavy the next, or should you start worrying about a plot twist in your cycle?
Have you ever wondered what your period is even about? I mean, we all know it’s something to do with your body getting ready for pregnancy, but why does it have to involve cramps, mood swings, and mystery stains on your favorite underwear?
If you are not sure about the answers or simply want to know more about the super human body, you can ask a question in the comments box below. Watch the space as we go live with offering workshops in Hertfordshire.
